Guide · Investment and scope
A website price makes sense when you know what it includes.
Two five-page website quotes can cover different work. To compare them, establish who prepares content, what is designed and what happens after handover.
The ManuDesign reference
A compact service website with clear goals and available materials starts at €2,500. The working budget for professional practices and small businesses is €2,500–6,000. This describes my offer, not an Italian or Austrian market average.
Pages, content, languages and integrations determine the final quote. Applicable taxes, inclusions and exclusions are stated in the proposal.
What changes the workload
A service page needing planning and writing differs from one with approved content. Three languages require content review, navigation and testing as well as translation.
- Strategy: audience, services and information hierarchy.
- Content: writing, images, licences and translations.
- Design and development: components, mobile and content editing.
- Integrations: booking, CRM, payment or other tools.
- Migration: existing content, URLs and redirects.
Understand ongoing responsibilities
Ask who manages domain and hosting, who can edit content and which materials you receive. Check whether support, updates, external services and renewals cost extra.
Ongoing promotion, advertising and regular content production are not implicitly included in building a website. They need a separate scope.
Prepare a comparable brief
Give each supplier the same information: goal, audience, services, languages, existing site, ready content and required functions. Ask for essentials and options separately.
Assess clarity, relevant work, responsibilities and checks. A price alone does not demonstrate quality or financial return. Choose a project you can understand, afford and manage.
